iBuild Showcase Information

Many of you know about the success of the “Crayons to CAD” program. Middle school students worked in teams with teachers and industry professionals and tradesman during the course of the school year to design building projects. They entered their projects in regional and national contests. The teachers, students and professionals shared a lot of information and learned a lot about each other. Most importantly the students had fun and many will enter the construction industry.

Students who participated in Crayons to CAD were primarily from rural school districts. We want to introduce the program in the core inner city districts. To do so we will launch a special one day event—
